degrees and into the 350's into tomorrow morning. a few clouds over the skyline. we will call it stars and clouds, out toward the west the clouds starting to gather over the ohio valley. dry day but the clouds will start to increase and then a strong cold front that's starting to set up over the northern tier. powerful storm over southern canada and that will bring in showers and gusty storms, cooler air sunday. take a look at the temperatures over the eastern third, 60s, 70s. 50s and 40s starting to show itself over the northern tier of the identification. that's the cooler air we will go into sunday and much of next week. off toward the east. hair pin warm front, that bumps the temperatures right now to around 80, maybe 81, 82, then here comes the cold front into the day on saturday. clouds on the increase saturday afternoon, line of storms, maybe a small hail coming in by -- two or three. earlier the further north and west and then into cooler temperatures. as we go into -- end of the weekend. temperatures for tomorrow afternoon, 70s, tomorrow night going down in to the 60s and back

temperatures, low 80s and upper 70's but with the humidity it does feel warmer and overall we continue to look for a mucky situation for the game tonight. current conditions now at pwi, 80 degrees, humidity at 76%, light southeast breeze but not much of one and the big story has been that high humidity level along with showers, keeping it just feeling damp outside. very damp conditions, the dew points surging above 70, the humidity holding tom. it's up toward pittsburgh and ohio. we are optimistic we will get the dryer conditions as we go in to the weekend and early next week. there is that mass of rain. most of it on -- in southern maryland but some of showers clipping baltimore. as we look at the trend we look for the chance for more showers, into the briefly in to the afternoon tomorrow but i think the main chance for rain from here forward is going to come saturday late in the day. moisture off the coast. a boundary in off the east. squeeze play n could be quite a bit of rain here late saturday. if you have tickets to saturday night's orioles, yankees game, be advised there could be r

and down. the dow jones industrial average closed almost 55 points down. the s&p dropped less than two points. >>> let's take a look at your consumer alert. summer is drawing to a close. the holiday season will be here before you know it. one major store is revamping its layaway program. >> reporter: toys 'r us are gearing up for the holiday season. with the economic outlook unserntion the store is make changes. it's offering free layaway. the store plans to wave the $5 upfront fee through october. shoppers have to make a 20% down payment and pay the total by mid-december. there is fine print. the free layaway only applies to proppeds like toys and video games but not toys and holiday items. lay jay has become popular dmeag because of the red-h--- again because of the recession. a survey found 40% rough shoppers plan to use layaway. with the economy still struggling, it is expected to continue. last month walmart said it would include more items and extend the time frame. as we get closer to the holiday you can probably expect more retailers to roll out special offers as well. >>>

the upper 70's to near 80. it feels like the upper 80s downtown. near 90dc and 85 annapolis. how is that for the last night of the month of august. where did the summer go? july and august. just seemed to fly by. almost no wind. very little breeze to break up the humid warm pattern. i will say this. temperatures will drop off nicely by daybreak. humidity moderate through central maryland. very leafy from richmond south and to the north of pennsylvania the dry ear. on the borderline between the muggy stuff south of us and the more dry conditions off to the north. a few clouds starting to edge in out of the west. we knew we would be impacted by the remnants of isaac. it looks like the impact will be greater as we go in to the second half of the weekend and especially into the labor damon. great rain coming down over missouri and central illinois, just south of chicago. see the -- it's reaching in to alabama and eastern tennessee. as we look to the future here this weekend with the future trend showers will be a possibility late day tomorrow. i think the better chances will hold off un
